Graduation of the high school practice in TPP AES Galabovo

 For the third year in a row TPP “AES Galabovo” conducted students practice for high school graduates in the town. The practice was organized in line with two years‘ European program, which was extended for another year because of the very good results from the previous ones. The first year of the program it was attended by four students, the second and third one – eight.

To participate in the practice trainees applied by sending documents (CV and letter of motivation). After the first round of applications assessment the approved ones were invited for interview. The commette was represented by  “Human Resources” department, “Communications” and their future mentor from the power plant. Like in the previous two years, in 2015 the interest in conducting a practice in the most modern thermal power plant in Bulgaria was very large. Trainees expressed curiosity, responsible attitude and discipline.

On 23.06.2015, a ceremony was held for the occasion of completion 2015 practice. The event was attended by the Director of the Vocational School Mrs. Cvetkovska and their teacher Mrs. Susie Mustafa. On AES behalf the event was attended by the Chief Operating Officer for Bulgaria Roy Reid, Mariana Gerenova, Irena Bankova, Ventsislav Georgiev and Miglena Koleva. Roy Reid welcomed the students for their excellent performance, talk to them and handed each intern certificate and symbolic branded gifts. As continuation of the event was organised lunch, during which students could continue discussions about the subject.

Conducting student practice in our power was highly appreciated by the management, teachers and students of the Vocational School in Galabovo. It is the only school in the country which teaches students majoring in “Power energy” and it makes the participation of TPP “AES Galabovo” in the learning process more meaningful.
