Angels’ Tree Initiative supported 169 children for the tenth consecutive year

169 children from low-income families in Galabovo were supported by the Angels’ Tree Initiative organized by TPP AES Galabovo. For the tenth consecutive year on the eve of Christmas holidays, the company and its employees gave warm clothes and shoes to the children. The Managing Director of AES Bulgaria Ivan Tzankov and representatives of the TPP AES Galabovo management gave the presents on 18 December in the Youth Center in Galabovo. ‘It is a big pleasure for me, and I am proud that for a tenth consecutive year, TPP AES Galabovo employees expressed their empathy to the children’s needs and donate money to finance the campaign. I believe that thanks to the money that each of our employees has donated for buying shoes and clothes, the children in need in Galabovo will have a warmer Christmas. The care for the communities we serve in is among our CSR program priorities’, Ivan Tzankov said.

Angels’ Tree Initiative is financed with the funds donated by the company’s employees and is aimed at supporting children from low-income families by providing them with winter jackets and boots. With the help of the municipality of Galabovo, AES Bulgaria collects data for children in need within the 1st  – 7th grade age group, and after consulting with their teachers, determines the needs of each kid. Once the information for the needed number of jackets and boots is available, the company employees raise funds by participating in a charity raffle.

For the past years, the CSR program of AES Bulgaria has exceeded BGN 14 million. The money goes for different programs and projects focusing on three main priorities: education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
