AES’ TPP in Galabovo donates gifts to first-graders in the Municipality of Galabovo for their first day of school

AES’ TPP in Galabovo surprised first-graders at all schools in Galabovo for the first day of school. For the 17th consecutive year, the most advanced coal-fired power plant in Bulgaria presented all children in the Municipality of Galabovo, who crossed the school threshold for the first time, with backpacks filled with school supplies and materials. A total of 81 first-graders were included in the charitable initiative. First-grade children of AES Bulgaria employees across the country also received school backpacks.
‘September 15 is a special day for every first-grader—the first step into the big world of learning and discovery. Knowledge is the key that opens doors. All of us at AES Bulgaria wish you a successful start and many reasons to be proud of in the new school year. We are happy to be part of the celebrations for the first day of school,’ said Mariana Gerenova, Complex Manager for all production assets of AES Bulgaria, in her address to first-graders, teachers, and parents.
Providing all necessary supplies to first-graders is part of AES Bulgaria’s CSR program, which has invested over BGN 16 million since the company began its operations in the country. Education is among the main priorities of this program, which aims to encourage the development of young people in the region, stimulate their curiosity and skills, and foster their confidence and self-esteem.
